Awesome Young African Boy Retells COMMANDO And Breaks Stereotypes
January 23rd, 2012 by adminThis 9 year old boy just built classic action movie Commando great again. Alex is the plucky Tanzanian star with this video, a child who is correctly healthy, doesn’t have Aids, isn’t an orphan, isn’t a kid soldier and loves Arnold Schwarzenegger (Have always to check the spelling). It’s a video from Mama Hope (a non profit organisation who are attempting to develop self sustainable residential areas in Africa) to highlight their own new campaign about preventing stereotypes about africans.
An excerpt off their site reads:
Stop Your Pity. Unlock The Potential.
We’ng had enough of the tragic impressions of Africans that flood the media and charitable campaigns. We aim to bust these stereotypes by releasing a few captivating videos that show the sunshine of the people we serve in Africa. We aspire to introduce our communities to you with the integrity and brilliance we witness everyday.
In the very first video of our series satisfy Alex! He is a happy, healthy, In search of year old boy from Tanzania. He can be intensely enthusiastic, has a outrageous imagination and loves actions movies. Does this sound like just about any 9 year old boys you understand?
Its a pretty cool thought. Its easy to have preconcieved notions if the primary news we get in the continent is generally negative. He’s such a bright little golf ball of happy energy.
What is your opinion?
