There was once a period when details surrounding a motion picture were guarded and carefully sought after secrets that weren’t exposed until opening night at your local movie theater… NOT ANYMORE! Coming Soon has managed to get a TON of photos from a, seemingly, small fight scene with the webhead and some average looking thug.

We’ve seen a lot of this motion picture recently without actually visiting a trailer so I’ll still try to reserve judgment for this movie. I want to like this movie simply because I am a die-hard Spider-Man fan and are for the rest of my life. I have severe reservations about the costume layout and the overall look of Spider-Man utilizing the air brushed muscles, but I hope to be pleasantly fixed by the time I actually get to see this specific movie on screen. What do you think of Spidey’s look? Can it be just me?

I was walking down Abbot Kinney inside Venice Beach during First Fridays, a monthly festival where the streets are packed with people as well as food trucks, and searched for solace in a small art gallery. New 'Scream 4' Trailer: Welcome Rear, Ghostface

‘Scream’ fans rejoice! A new trailer has arrived and not only could it be far meatier than the last, but it is pretty damn good, way too. Back in October we got each of our first glimpse at Wes Craven’s newest in a teaser trailer in which premiered at the Scream Awards. No, it wasn’t dreadful, but it certainly wasn’t good enough to really get you pumped for your franchise’s fourth installment. Well, the latest trailer clocks in at a whopping two minutes, thirty seconds and is packed with a lot more than some cheesy ends and text.

This one will offer any longtime franchise lover the chills right from the start when Computer chip Cave & The Bad Seeds’ Red Correct Hand (a song featured inside first film) kicks in immediately after hearing the killer whisper that all too familiar question, What’s your favorite frightening movie? From there, it’s really merely ‘Scream 2.0,’ and delay. We’ve got a new group of little ones in a similar situation, yet this time around they come loaded with advanced technology and an upgraded set of rules for surviving any horror movie.

The mid-holiday stretch always brings seasons cheer, but the post office field sure gets lonely. Merely three packages in the box, but luckily all three appear really good.

1) Western Claims Motel “Country & Western Song” .. a fresh single from one of my favorite LA bands. A treat to hear new stuff from them.

Two) Philippe Petit “Henry: The Iron Man” .. plastic reissue of this atmospheric classic from last year. Reminds me to listen to A Delivered Of Garmambrosia again, which arrived earlier this year.

3) Games “We Play” .. EP finally shows up inside my box. Made their last single 7 Inch each week a couple of months ago. More is always good!

Ultimately, a nice carry. Now that the new stuff can be drying up, I’m piecing together some concept shows for the end of the year. Tonight @ 12a is the Rest of The Best of 2010. I had nearly 90 songs set aside for my most favorite of 2010… I’ll be taking part in about half of them tonight. Songs that would have made the Top 12 if it was the Top Fifty four.

Also, I’ll be filling in for Gary Calamar on December 12th. Love filling in…

KCRW Debuts New Daft Punk Credit score Cues from “TRON: Legacy” Soundtrack

We have geared up a post-Thanksgiving treat for Daft Punk fans!

KCRW hosted an exclusive “TRON: Legacy” soundtrack preview event over the weekend that will be made available in its entirety about streaming on demand starting Monday, November 29 via KCRW.org, with a portion slated regarding airing on Morning Gets Eclectic at 10 a new.m. PST.

The show involves previews of FIVE never-before-heard tracks from the score by Daft Punk, with an exclusive conversation between “TRON: Legacy” Tunes Supervisor (and KCRW’s beloved Songs Director) Jason Bentley and Movie director Joseph Kosinski.

Jason was crucial in bringing the French electronic duo Daft Punk up to speed and the score shows these stretching out into brand new teitory – seamlessly combining orchestral and electronic digital elements.

The helmet-clad robot pair have been secretive about their work on the film, nevertheless Bentley and Kosinski shared stories guiding the songs and the “making of” the background music, which Daft Punk recorded in part at Britain’s premier scoring facility, AIR Lyndhurst Studios, having a symphony of 100 world-class music artists. Here’s a preview of their song “Derezzed”
